Construction on the new Columbia Elementary School, located on Elks Drive, commenced on January 24th. This significant project will deliver a 103,000+ sq ft, modern learning environment for 752 students, with specialized classrooms for pre-K through 5th grade, advanced technology, and dedicated spaces for art, music, and science. The campus design incorporates a split-level layout, with main level access to parking and early childhood areas, and a lower level connecting to bus drop-off and playfields. An offsite retention pond will ensure proper drainage. The community eagerly awaits the return of Columbia students and staff to their original location upon the project’s completion.
